Redefining Student Loans

Changing the narrative

A Little About Who We Are

As students, we felt the burden of student loans and wondered if there was a better way. We wanted to make a difference in the role finance plays in education. Unfortunately, we saw that most of what is paid to get an education is not used towards the actual degree, but interest that goes to the lenders. So, we decided to change the conversation; education shouldn’t be something that is used to make a profit by banks and put people through hardship.

So in 2013 we created IFEducation, a nonprofit aimed at doing just that. Making a difference. We are an organizaton created by students for students

We treat loans as an act of kindness and reuse the donations we receive so that our resources go further; the same gift can benefit many instead of making a profit on education.  We work with the universities to help students affordably pay for higher education by providing them with simple interest-free loans.

We are currently a volunteer-based organization and receive our funding from donations and grants. So, if you want to make a difference then donate now and help fund an award.

One loan award from IFEducation will not cost a student their degree many times over but will fund several degrees many times over.
